Dr. Guruprasad Shetty is a consultant hepatobiliary and liver transplant surgeon in Mumbai. He is a qualified surgical gastroenterologist and completed his fellowship in liver transplantation surgery from St. Marys Hospital, Catholic University of Korea, Seoul. Working at some of the busiest and most reputed institutes in India and abroad, he has an experience of over 2000 liver transplant surgeries and handles some of the most complex cases requiring surgery of the liver, gall bladder, pancreas and the biliary system. He was amongst the top ranking students in Mumbai University examinations for general surgery and is also awarded the B-Braun scholarship in the field of surgical gastroenterology. He has keen interest in living donor liver transplantations including pediatric liver transplantation as well as large liver tumors resections, hilar cholangiocarcinomas and other complex hepatopancreatobiliary cases.
