• In a long career spanning forty years had been actively involved in academics, Patient care as Clinician and Clinical Research work in Neurosurgery in some of the most prestigious institute of the country (in both Government and private sector). Had been involved in teaching of undergraduate, postgraduate, postgraduate and Super specialty students at KMC Manipal, RIMS Ranchi, IGIMS Patna and Budha Institute of Dental Sciences.
• As faculty at Kasturba Medical College (Manipal), was actively involved in Postgraduate and undergraduate teaching and research work. We reorganized the Department and with our efforts M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) course was started. I had been Co-guide for two students.
• Hear our area of special interest was Neurovascular (Anneurysm) Surgery. We developed Pain Clinic (First time in south India).
• We were actively involved in establishment of Neurosurgery services at Manipal Hospital Banglore.
• had been actively involved in undergraduate teaching at King Faisal Hospital and King Fahad Hospital, AI Baha, KSA. Both Hospital are recognized for Postgraduate training for FRCS (Ireland).
• As Associate Professor and subsequently professor of surgery (Neurosurgery) at Budha Dental College I was actively involved in teaching Surgery and Neurosurgery to undergraduate dental students (BDS) and Postgraduate course in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (MDS). Both course are recognized by Dental Council of India.
• As Clinical Head and Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (from Sept 2007 till Sept 2010) had been responsible for reorganizing and up graduation of the department. I had been instrumental in creating New Museum, Library and Micro vascular laboratory for the department. This is MCI formally recognized M.Ch. degree awarded by Institute.
• Here, I had been actively involved in teaching MBBS, MS (General Surgery), M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) and PhD Students. Apart teaching, I was also involved in the patient care and research work. I had honor of being guide for thesis of one successful M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) candidate and Co-guide another three M.Ch. candidates. I was also appointed as Examiner for M.Ch. (Neurosurgery) examination for three consecutive years by Ranchi University. I had the honor to be Co-Guide for a research work conducted on The Effects of Indian Classical Music on Neurological patients, which was subsequently submitted as Thesis for the award of PhD from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Jharkhand.
• At Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences as Head of the Department of Neurological Sciences (Both Neurosurgery and Neurology), I was again involved in Upgrading and Reorganizing the Departments so that the first time in Bihar in Year 2019. We are also involved in training Senior Residents of Department of General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Neurology.
