Dr. Nagendra Kumar B, a Physician, brings 25 years of experience to AyurVAID Hospital, HRBR Layout, Bangalore. He obtained his MS (Ayurveda) in Shalakya Tantra and BAMS from GAMC, located on Dhanwantari Road, Bangalore. His areas of interest include Shalakya Tantra and Hospital Management. Before joining Apollo AyurVAID, Dr. Nagendra Kumar served as a Chief Medical Officer and Professor in the Department of Shalakya Tantra at Adichunchungiri Ayurvedic Medical College Nagarur, Nelmangala. He also worked as a Senior Consultant Physician at Kottakkal Aryavaidyasala, Kammanahalli, Bangalore since January 2000.

He specializes in ENT and eye care in Ayurveda. Dr. Nagendra has published articles on various topics such as Guda nagara nasya, a nasal medication explored for its effectiveness in managing anosmia, or loss of smell, and Rakta mokshana, a bloodletting technique, in eyelid diseases. He also investigated the importance of eye exercises for improving refractive errors, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and studied the effect of Samudhraphena, an herbal concoction, for potential treatment of suppurative otitis media, a middle ear infection with pus.
