Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay is a renowned Gatroenterologist and has the unique distinction of starting State-of-Art Gastroenterology Departments in 3 different hospitals of Delhi NCR. He is an astute clinician and a proficient Endoscopist having treated a vast number of patients referred from different parts of country and abroad. He is also an acclaimed Post Graduate Teacher and Examiner for MRCP ( UK ). He is also a keen researcher and has > 100 academic/scientific papers and chapters to his credit in national/international journals and books. On a regional, national, and international level he has organized, participated, and delivered more than 400 lectures in numerous conferences including 4 in European Countries. He has been the editor of several books and has served on editorial board of various journals and books. He has been on National guidelines committees of Indian Society of Gastroenterology and API. His academic excellence and contributions have been recognized by several awards and accolades including Dr. B C Roy National Award, IMA National Award and many more. He has also been awared as “Inspiring Gastroenterologists of India Award” during ECONOMIC TIMES recently. His leadership role in Healthcare and Medical Education has also been well recognised. He was President – Association of Physicians of India (API)- and Dean, Indian College of Physicia and is currently Member Specialist Advisory Board (Gastroenterology), National Board of Examinations( NBE) , Steering Committee Member, Global Alliance for Medical Education (GAME) and Governing Body Member, AIIMS, Patna.
