About Doctor

Dr Renu George was a former Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy, CMC, Vellore (Retired). She worked in the Department of DVL, CMC, Vellore, from 1989-2019. Her interest in Pediatric Dermatology led her to establishing the Pediatric Dermatology service at CMC, Vellore in 1997 and a fellowship course in the same discipline in 2017.

She is a member of the Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy and the American Academy of Dermatology.

Her special interests include:

• General dermatology and complex dermatology
• Pediatric dermatology
• Connective tissue diseases

She has 95 publications in national and international journals, authored chapters in textbooks and peer reviewed articles for national and international journals.

She now serves as a Consultant Dermatologist at Scudder Memorial Hospital, Ranipet
