Dr Sajan Hegde is one of India’s leading spine specialist and is the first Indian to be conferred the coveted French Cottrell fellowship in Spine Surgery. He has pioneered various spinal procedures in this part of the world including the first ever charity cervical disc replacement, the usage of shape memory alloy, the first event major renaissance spine surgery guidance system. Dr Hegde manages the state of the art spine care services at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. His unit is one of the largest and busiest Scoliosis correction centre in India and offers most advanced and minimally invasive spine surgeries. Dr Hegde has been an invited consultant spine surgeon to over 10 countries from Middle East to Africa. He was the past president of Association of Spine Surgeons of India.
