Dr. Sajeesh Sahadevan is a senior consultant with proficiency in Gastrointestinal Surgery and Liver Transplantation at the best surgical gastroenterology hospital in Calicut - Aster MIMS. He has a vast experience of 20 years. Dr. Sajeesh Sahadevan has completed his MBBS from the prestigious Calicut Medical College, Calicut. He has also done his postgraduate degree - MS in General Surgery from Medical College Calicut.

He did a senior residency in surgical gastroenterology at SGPGIMS Lucknow and further completed MCh in gastrointestinal surgery from Medical College Trivandrum. He has undergone Fellowship in Liver Transplantation surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He was also a visiting scholar in Liver transplants at ASAN Medical Centre, Seoul, South Korea. He is heading the department of Gastrointestinal & HPB at Aster MIMS Kozhikode since 2007. He performs and supervises complex hepato pancreato biliary resection, GI oncological resections, advanced laparoscopic colorectal surgeries, laparoscopic sphincter-saving resections for low rectal cancers, lap liver, and pancreatic resections including major hepatectomies, Whipple's resection thoracoscopic oesophagectomy and bariatric surgeries like sleeve gastrectomy and Roux en Y gastric bypass.

The Department started liver transplant surgery under his leadership in 2013 and has performed more than 150 liver transplants with success rates in par with international rates. His concentrated interests are in multiorgan transplants and advanced laparoscopic surgeries.
