A 70-year-old gentleman, Mr. Mambo Silas Mashavave, approached Dr. Bhushan Nariani, Vice Chairman, Joint Replacement and Dr. Shivam Tiwari, Senior Consultant, Joint Replacement at BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital with severe knee pain and deformity due to osteoarthritis. After a thorough examination and X-rays, it was decided to perform a bilateral knee replacement surgery. The procedure involved placing artificial prostheses and high-density polyethylene to restore knee function. Surprisingly, within a short period, Mr. Mambo was able to stand and walk the day after the surgery. He regained full mobility within a few days and was discharged within a week. Dr. Bhushan and Dr. Shivam provided excellent care and guided Mr. Mambo throughout the process.
