About Doctor 
Dr. Gurvinder Kaur has a teaching experience of more than 22 years. She passed her MBBS from DMC&Hospital, Ludhiana in the year 1999 and was honoured with the best graduate award. She passed her MS (Ophthalmology) from Government Medical College,Patiala in the year 2003.
She has undergone Training course for Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation at I-Care Eye Hospital & Research Centre,Noida. She has also undergone ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital Program for training in Pediatric Ophthalmology esp. cataract,squint, oculopasty, cornea & retina. She has undergone Training course for Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus at Christian Medical College & Hospital,Ludhiana.
She has undergone training in Basic Medical Education, Attitude, Ethics & Communication (AETCOM) & Curriculum Implementation Support Programme (CISP) at Regional Centre, Christian Medical College,Ludhiana.
She is working as Professor & Head in the Department of Ophthalmology,DMC&Hospital, Ludhiana. Her areas of expertise include all types of cataract surgeries,glaucoma & pediatric ophthalmology. She has a special interest in community based rehabilitation of blind.
She has more than 30 publications (National & International) & more than 60 presentations & guest lectures at various conferences. She is also the reviewer of various journals. She is actively involved in undergraduate & post graduate teaching program.

- Received Prem Chandra Award for the Best Paper presentation on ‘Vision screening by school teachers in Ludhiana district’ at 22nd North Zone Ophthalmlolgical Society at Ludhiana on 27th to 28th September, 2008.
- Received award for the 2nd best Poster presentation on ‘Two unusual case reports in ophthalmology’ at 13th Annual Conference of Punjab Ophthalmological Society at Amritsar on 19th to 20th Dec., 2009.
