About Doctor 
I trained in Internal Medicine (MD) and Clinical Hematology and Stem Cell Transplantation (DM) from Christian Medical College, Vellore, one of the largest academic centres in India. Two years after completion of training, I joined DMCH, a 1200 bedded academic medical centre in Ludhiana and initiated a new department of Clinical Haematology and Stem Cell Transplantation in 2019 as a single consultant, where we have completed 49 stem cell transplants so far (Auto/Allo and MUD).
I currently lead an active haematology service with daily outpatient clinics and consultative services for the entire hospital. In addition, I also directly manage patients admitted for stem cell transplantation and treatment of hematologic malignancies. I worked with other departments to guide their faculty and staff for setting up stem cell apheresis and enumeration, cryopreservation, nursing education and neutropenic care and are only the third hospital in North India to offer the same. I am currently responsible for overseeing and troubleshooting our processes of stem cell apheresis and cryopreservation. Additionally, I also initiated a matched unrelated donor (MUD) program last year with support from DKMS.
